    • HEADLINES: Company Establishes 111th Regiment of Frostbain and Amalgamates 55th Whitehaven

FROSTBAIN, M.L.- The Company, in an attempt to reshuffle and re-organize inefficient groups have established a new regiment and amalgamated an older one. The 111th Regiment of Frostbain, being led by mcepic47 was created in an attempt to isolate the more “criminal” elements of the Company. The 55th Regiment of Whitehaven was formally disbanded and all of its honours and distinctions were given over to the 222nd South Aspermont Regiment.

    • EDITORIAL “The Importance of Language to a Culture-group and Nation”

Irishkaiser - Language is often taken for granted as it is an everyday thing like water or electricity or even resting. Only when we lose those things do we finally appreciate their importance in our everyday lives and their maintenance in society. The maintenance of language itself has always been based on its people and is so important in terms of a people’s identity that we map our culture groups by way of language groups.

The English language, though it has many other influences such as Norse, Romance and Celtic, is more directly descended from Germanic, which is descended from Proto-Germanic, which is descended from the Proto-Indo-European or Aryan language groups. Language is an intangible heritage of people and because it is a meme(I’m using the proper scientific term, not internet humor), it is almost a living gene among us. An entire thought process can be determined simply from the way of speaking and affects our values system as we prioritize which one is more important or worth emphasizing first.

Ways of speaking, even among a specific language are also important as well. As distinctions grow, some of those people begin to think of themselves as ever more independent or distinct. Examples can be seen among the Germans, the Italians and of course the British dominions and former colonies. As languages continue to grow or change, so to does culture. This is important because I’ve noticed that in this UTC, the newer generation especially - began to lose or ignore Company diction. Even really old members like Lieutenant_Joe talk like a mess. People like boonut as well, joking though he may be, by his mere mockery of premiumspeak, he begins to make it more mainstream and therefore more dominant than from Company Diction - which is only spoken by so few members.

Old UTC, when UTC was not as Americanized as it is now, talked based on effective team communication with information rapidly and accurately being shared across the entire voice chat, with useless and or irrelevant information being filtered out based on necessities of speeches or phrases a speak transmits.

Take the most popular example: Lieutenant_Joe. The way he talks is a mess, the only way I can describe it. He sometimes not only makes things up, but believes them and goes on long tirades - sometimes even mid-battle, as demonstrated during heavy fighting in Romero where he argued about how some of us should stand up for an ambush. I’m glad he doesn’t talk like this anymore though. Still, I must make my point clear - the effort of preserving our language hasn’t really been an effort at all. There has been few times it’s been maintained and were mostly left to their own devices as we of the upper class culture of the Company decide to leave it alone and concentrate on other matters. Now that we see that maintaining our way of speaking is as important as getting new members. Problem is, I don’t even know where to start. I will at least try to explain what Company Diction is supposed to be:

    • Uses economy of words - say the most with the least amount of words

    • Clear and concise - say it loud and clear with a Chuck Yeager accent(i.e, pilot or radio communication accent)

    • Has protocol phrases to get an idea across rapidly - “Contact, Movement, On Approach, I have Visual, Patch Me Up, etc.”

The Directory proudly announces that it has delivered

    4 Chain sets

    5 Iron swords

    3 Infinity Bow

    In exchange for

    22 Health Potions

The Trade Run started and moved towards Grimdale and encountered like 2-3 guys before moving on to Portsmouth where contact with the enemy was made. This trade run also emphasized the use of Company Diction which seemed slightly awkward for certain members using them, but got the hang of it. Company forces engaged premiums who bought our stuff and attacked us. Three premiums pretending to be nice also tried to trick us but we were smarter than them and chased them off and went our own way after.

Trade Run also shown that some Company members, specifically newer ones - are completely fucking new to the way the Company fights and plays. 111th Regimental Member MK11 got himself killed because he refused to listen to orders and lost his gear to premiums. MK11 was also being a undisciplined bitch by constantly picking up weapons and armor from the ground while still pretending to be a scout - hopefully his death will finally teach him that there’s more than one way of fighting.

Trade Run proceeded mostly smoothly and I almost got a nice screenshot of a stand off at Portsmouth but was too busy commanding the caravan to take it.

    • PvP Drill archive compileNewList.sh data.json head.html links.html output.md tail.html 44th Mass PvP Event - Rated PG on GG

Three Company Members and One Regimental and One Some Guy Who Wouldn’t Stop Following Us went on GG today and were being drilled on proper Company maneuvers. The initial deployment was seen as clunky, awkward and slow to get into position and people kept forgetting the basic manuals such as 12-15 blocks switching to swords and two at a time on a single person.

Nonetheless, the mere fact that the Company can withstand for a good amount of time - attrition from multiple respawning premiums - has given teeth to its claim of formation fighting. boogaert has shown indiscipline the same day when just as we were about to log out in unison - boogaert started attacking me. Boogaert for being an autistic ADHD bitch was shouted at and shamed for acting like a kid urging his parents to go to the toy store or something.

    • DOMESTIC Skirmish at Yawpton

Skirmish at Yawpton: We began running a bit behind schedule to my parents and some players falling behind. While gathering supplies I was attacked by two whites resulting in my death. Argo came to assist me. We attacked once and killed one but we both died. During the 2nd attempt we killed the second at yawpton. Another white was there who seemed to be a friend of there’s but we told the player it was revenge, and they went after us. The player stood out of the way as they came to counter assault but the opposition was defeated. We gave the player some food and supplies and thanked the guy for not intervening.

    • DOMESTIC GunOverdose’s Report on an Expedition Somewhere

Report of the Expedition: Reports did confirm that there was some patches to the area we traveled to and took a new route of doing the parkour. Halfway up the parkour a white showed up to the place, panicked and combat logged. The boys wanted to kill him but I reminded him we are not premiums and we spared him. After that, on the parkour Silver died stating “there was one hole in the ground… And I fell in”. Because of this I had cyclone and Argo stay behind and I proceeded to do the parkour with fear but success. We discovered with this new method, if three people make it inside we can farm the loot. Hell, even with two I would say. I sat down there farming the loot and gathered a ton of iron and weaponry to supply to the fallen Silver and Argo. This future-wise could be a good way to make sure we are beyond prepped for trade runs in the future. With the high tier potions, gear and supplies, it’ll make runs a lot safer. After they’re celebrated victory of the dungeon, the men went to Clarce to drink and eat and met up with butter lover. But we were too drunk to the point we almost beat up butterlover.
