ASPERMONT, WESTERLANDS- The UNKNOWN [?] Trading Company was in confusion this week with conflicting orders and understanding particularly based on the idea of when June Reforms ends with orders being countered by those who thought it was still the holiday.
This has affected events such as the trade run where only two people showed up and had only one item to sell, but did not affect smaller trades(or in this case, they’re now the larger trades). The problem was magnified by the fact that Irishkaiser is inactive for the duration as he is welcoming guests of his regiment arriving in his country.
Irishkaiser - Throughout history there have been “generations” or people who were born and live in different eras with of course different perspectives and or social norms, depending on the country. The changes have been gradual, usually due to stemming from a major economic or technological impact that society changes its views over time and change brings about more change, however stronger social values and cohesion has always kept it gradual but this has changed recently and is now unprecedented in terms of the rapidity of change. In the late 18th to 19th century society in most Western countries held few differences with the exception of the great political changes such as the French Revolution that mostly affected the political sphere and was still gradual with strong Reactionary feelings throughout the rest of the 19th century made sure that the radicalism was curbed regardless. Think of it as a burst of the bottom part of a dam but quickly being repaired and “corrected” by the dam’s own weight. It can be generally said that the values of the early to late 19th century have been somewhat consistent throughout with change coming gradually. Even Republican France became Imperial France for God’s sake. They enshrined the “rights” they won while restraining the masses from being dicks about it. Their story is back and forth with the Bourbon Restoration quickly giving way back to the Empire and eventually the Republic with the major disagreement not on what needs to be done, but on how to go about it.
When the Great War broke out, there was of course understandable change as many revolutions and hard realities had taken place in many countries, but just like the French Revolution, it stabilized and had a consistent reactionary opponent in the form of “Western Capitalism” which no longer really opposed monarchies as monarchies largely abandoned mercantilism.
Though Communism became a global force, its rise was reasonably gradual and there still was strong reactionary movements and feelings resisting it. Throughout the Soviet Union’s existence, it was always met with opposition and their place in the world order had been established by then as the “Free” World’s enemy.
Then the Second World War broke out and people around the Western world started to despise constant change and upheavals such as the Great Depression, deciding to settle down in a more consistent life after so much hardship and uncertainty. Generational division became even more pronounced with ever shortening durations. The Generation of the 1820s and 1830s can be considered peers, but post-Second World War, generations started being called the 50s, the 60s, the 70s, the 80s and the 90s. The 90s started becoming even more convoluted as some argue that there is a generational gap between 1990 and 1995 with those of 1995 being put alongside the same group as 2005. Some have called it “The Fives”.
What makes a generation? Definitely not time because it is arbitrary. Culture and values is more substantial and how people are raised.
Throughout history, there has been much generational cohesion in human societies with the changes demanded at first by people’s forefathers. Most of the time, they could not achieve their dreams or ideas and instead hope their children would achieve the change they want. Their children many years down invoking the “wishes” of their forefathers as well. But this one is different. There is a weird generational detachment created by the rapid progress of technology and abundance in the first world countries and by that I mean the internet.
Holy shit, was Hideo Kojima fucking right
But in the current, digitized world, trivial information is accumulating every second, preserved in all its triteness. Never fading, always accessible. Rumors about petty issues, misinterpretations, slander… All this junk data preserved in an unfiltered state, growing at an alarming rate.
In history like in music, we usually remember the good and though this may dangerously be taken as ROSE TINTED GLASSES where the “past” was a better time than the present, at least we have an idea of what was the best and that survived through historical natural selection is the judgment of humanity. The specifics and details are up to professional historians to figure out.
In this one, all the information… True, false… Good ideas or bad ideas are somehow preserved and this even creates confusion as:
You exercise your right to “freedom” and this is the result. All rhetoric to avoid conflict and protect each other from hurt. The untested truths spun by different interests continue to churn and accumulate in the sandbox of political correctness and value systems. Everyone withdraws into their own small gated community, afraid of a larger forum. They stay inside their little ponds, leaking whatever “truth” suits them into the growing cesspool of society at large. The different cardinal truths neither clash nor mesh. No one is invalidated, but nobody is right. Not even natural selection can take place here. The world is being engulfed in “truth.” And this is the way the world ends. Not with a bang, but a whimper.
Though in Metal Gear, the moral is always to “Let the world be” and that interference even though it’s a shit society is not desirable because it’s up to mankind to decide for itself what it wants in the end for good or ill, they will either reap the benefits or suffer the consequences, but they made those choices themselves.
All I know is, there is even a detachment. Some people even use the major app of their “day”(or like 5 years last I count) as their own generation. The Skype generation, the ICQ generation, the facebook generation, snapchat generation, etc. etc. before the next big app took over. Xfire, anyone?

Away from the computer, in real life over a game of lasertag against five opponents, three members of the 1st Regiment(who in this report will use their laser tag names) demonstrated degrees of innate understanding on what to do and how to do it. We will use the laser tag names(assigned by your suit) and they were the following: Yurnero, Lion and Clinkz.
The three-man fireteam had no official structure however but there existed a hierarchy based on the respect online. Clinkz had a military background and actual combat experience while Yurnero was only a military enthusiast with amateur know-how. Lion was a faggot who had none. Well… Some understanding.
Yurnero and Clinkz played off of each other pretty well and maneuvered though Yurnero did not receive any formal training from any established military school, was able to perform relatively well and move from cover to cover with bounding overwatch and knew how to breach and clear.
The only difference between Yurnero and Clinkz was the endurance as Yurnero was visibly strained earlier in comparison to Clinkz who was more used to strenuous body movements.
The uneven obstacles and terrain still put stress on his body as the unit relied on speed and overpowering through points of insertion that Clinkz commented: “It’s been a long time since I ran crouching.” referring to their way of maneuver which was staying low and moving fast.
Initially driving the opposing team out from their positions twice based on speed, eventually the non-military members of the unit grew tired and began to play defensively in order to catch their breath. The 1st Regiment’s legendary intuition demonstrated itself with each member instinctively knowing what to do. All sections were covered between the three and information sharing was excellent. Though some of them did not know the laser tag game site, they knew how to move while covering their buddy, never leaving them behind and performing(without any pre-training between each other). Eventually the difference in the balance was too obvious that Clinkz said: “This is too easy.” and the exhausted Lion and Yurnero agreed to play differently. The unit eventually decided to break up and go solo without shooting each other and both Yurnero and Lion used this moment to start camping and setting up killzones while Clinkz aggressively maneuvered regardless, due to his superior endurance.
With the round ending, Yurnero was the one with the most points and kills, while Lion was the most accurate. Strangely, Clinkz was the least. DAS ROYT, MACHINE GUN.
Regardless, the experience was akin as to how this Coldstreamer explained it.
“The way we have been able to coordinate working with the French has been really excellent. There is a language barrier, of course… But we’re talking about fundamental skills that are the same whether you’re a French soldier or a British soldier. So there’s an innate level of understanding anyway about the way that we need to do our business.”
Maybe if you Americans got off your fat asses and went outside to I DON’T KNOW… VOTE…
