HEADLINES: NEW “3AM” REGIMENT SCRAPPED
ASPERMONT, WESTERLANDS - A new regiment was being discussed last week to accommodate people of latenight Western members(EST American time), joking called the “3rd in the Morning” regiment by a certain Director, the plan was briefly discussed before scrapped due to opposition from people who would’ve been a part of it, saying there is literally not much to do three in the morning with the exception of boring ass farming or doing some small time God-awful dungeons.
The starting manpower for the three in the morning regiment is actually two people I think, regardless, supposed to pick up more members they may meet in the early hours.
EDITORIAL - Proper Criticism and Appreciation of Art
Irishkaiser - The word art has been thrown around many times and is even used as an umbrella term for the simplest of garbage. Art has been said to give beauty and meaning to people’s lives, but the way they interpret or perceive such beauty is more or less taken from their own arrogant self-deceiving ego.
To first know how to appreciate and criticize art, one must know what art is. There are many definitions, but a core part of it is taken from its root Latin word “artem” which mean skills, as in, skills in craft. From here you can interpret a common requisite for pieces of art whether it be video games, stories or paintings and drawings. They all require degrees of skill, craftsmanship and practice.
Now at least you know what the “Artful Dodger” meant from that Oliver Twist book, basically the name meant “Really good at not being caught” - Artful Dodger.
In modern art, you may see a lot of pieces barely require skill at all and the worst part is… People apply meaning to them… A line on the wall is a fucking line on the wall, it does not underline any emotional turmoil I’m experiencing, other than my disappointment in all of you.
Some have subverted this, actually. Consider the genre of Punk Rock. What is the essence of punk rock? To play badly and lazily(in terms of form) when you are in actuality really fucking good in the first place and know how to play.
In the past, most artists scribe beauty in what they see, with little meaning given than what you see is what you get. Simpler times when what was good is good. Consider the Bal du moulin de la Galette. Wonderful piece being very detailed with fine brush strokes that evoke good expressions of atmosphere and movement. A lot is also in harmony with my eyes resting easily appreciating the center of the canvas.
No. It does not make me think I’m surrounded by the vanity of society. The artist is trying to convey beauty of his vision with the skills of his hands.
Another example is the famous Starry Night. Van Gogh was suicidal and full of emotional chaos, so what do you think he possibly meant by this? Well, if you did research… Yes, it’s because he thought it looked good.
Modern Art itself such as the Persistence of Memory by Salvador Dali, one of the pieces with “meaning” in actuality of his words… Was inspired by cheese melting in the fucking sun.
No, I’m serious he literally painted the melting clocks and watches because he was inspired by cheese melting in the sun. But hey, it looked good and was kinda cool so what the hell.
A lot of artists do embed themselves still and do put meanings from their lives and perspectives in their works. Salvador Dali was heavily influenced by the landscapes of his home province of Catalonia.
So when appreciating art, don’t be intimidated that you don’t “feel a fire burning in my soul”. No, because most of the time it just looks good and it’s because the guy who made it probably has a vision to share… Like let me show you just how awesome melted cheese can look if they were in the shape of clocks.

FINANCE - CLAN BANK ACHIEVES ITS FIRST LOAN
A customer wanted to buy and deliver thermal paper to an electric company and asked the Clan Bank for loans. The bank agreed to give the loan after it was discovered that the bidder had familial ties and therefore higher chances of pretty much almost assured getting the contract for the bid.
Yes, it’s still a risk but we gamed it out. A real bank with much more money only needs 1 investment out of 10 to win to make a healthy profit. Since we’re smaller, we have to be more careful.
