HEADLINES: ELITE TRAINING PROGRAMME AFTER LESSONS BY THE FOREIGN OFFICE DEBATED. SIDES SWITCHED.
ASPERMONT, WESTERLANDS - Veterans in Hillguards brought up the idea of maintaining a ready pool of qualified candidates to handle specific mission types that could be fielded by Shadowhall that is based on its experiences to prepare for future deployment.
The opposition to this training programme(which came from spitballing wargames ideas) considered it a waste of time considering that there is no immediate need. The endorsers of the programme said that to prepare for the future is no foolish venture and testimonies were brought up by Foreign Office veterans of just how bad it could get.
Though successful in creating a community environment that is more pro-UTC and against its enemies, the Foreign Office also suffered from learning as it went and made several mistakes as its conduct of operations that particularly affected the veterans' stress levels. In all Shadowhall employees, a person managed a minimum of three operations at a time, and another person taking on at least ten(more or less not sure if all at the same time).
To compensate for this, the Foreign Office outsourced many of its endeavors and enterprises, but since others weren’t particularly “Company-grade”, the standards were shoddy and operations were fueled by emotional and personal interests of its foreign-born operatives at times which could not be controlled by the objective and professional disconnect expected from Company Members. Nonetheless, the Foreign Office was able to achieve its goals in spite of the difficulties and learning process although it may have just took far longer than it did.
Opposition to the programme stressed that the foreseeable environment from which the unlikeliness of deployment for the grander and wider operations Shadowhall did. This would make it a sunk-cost project regardless and that “outsourcing” has always served well.
Convinced economically that outsourcing was a viable option and from their own experiences as it worked anyway, the endorsers began to back down before the opposition suddenly did a 180* and endorsed the plan after realizing that the training programme could effectively be used to make “certain” regimentals “UTC-grade” personnel, using the methods to better the UTC in general instead of having a ready manpower pool to “protect its interests” in the future, which some see as “Imperialist”.
The endorsers of the plan who now opposed it then parroted the same economic arguments the opposition chanted earlier about it being unnecessary and now continued to oppose the idea.
Huh, what a clown world am I right?
EDITORIAL - What is an Echo Chamber?
Irishkaiser - In the modern era, we have tremendous access to information as never before seen but in spite of this, the internet has gained reputation for proliferating extremist opinions on both sides. Love or hate and rarely in-between.
Some websites themselves claim to have become aggregates and share biased information with many its members reinforcing their gated opinions as the “obvious truth”, when perspective plays a major role. Those who forget the Kashmir Crisis in 2019 between India and Pakistan, I should remind you that is a case study of information warfare except on a perceivable state-level and both India and Pakistan lied to its people and the world.
The only thing confirmed was when India recognized its captured pilot in Pakistan when they offered to return him. That was the only thing that can be confirmed to the world as true. Everything else on both sides have contradictory accounts.
More can relate to the 2016 US Presidential Election but are still blinded by it. Everyone claimed Donald Trump will lose when in an upset win that should have been seen from miles away. What bothers me is that his win did not make people change their information perception, but rather reinforced it. Sites like reddit which was clamoring about his defeat and Bernie Sanders' win were not discredited as aggregates, but instead radicalized them further int their position.
When I personally make my own conclusions, I usually try to look at the facts. But when the so called facts being parroted can become contradictory, how do I draw a conclusion without necessarily steering to a biased end? Of course I do my own investigation and the first thing I look for is common ground between two opposing views. If both sides admitted this event or fact happened, I can assume it is more or less the truth, just like how the international community perceived the Indian Pilot’s repatriation as confirmed.
Everything else then should be colored by that. Towards all else, I am skeptical or practical and assume Justinian wisdom: “innocent until proven guilty”. However, some have already been set on “guilty” or “innocent”, rather than have any reasonable proceedings in the first place. These people you can simply watch and wait until you make your move and decide for yourself.
I know most of you won’t anyway.
TRADE - US MineZ Trade Run
The Directory proudly announces that it has only delivered
1 Iron Sword
1 Iron Armor Set
in value exchange for
Bunch of Hoes that you can repair
A very good trade run where the stars were finally aligned and the caravan started and ended at a proper hour with three to four stacks being consistent until the very end. For months, the Company was trying to catch the elusive prime time, which much to the chagrin of the Trade Run members actually changes. Last week’s prime time may be 1 hour ahead or 1 hour before the next week. Too early, or too late and at times, completely deserted.
This trade run also has given confidence and has called on to add more stuff to the caravans for next trade runs, hoping to catch it again.
With so much time to spare, the group decided to just hunt for “bad guys”, to which they found none, within the immediate South and had to move further North to try to get some “action”.

DOMESTIC - PiWorks LTD wins contract over Virtues Industries
A project resumed both by PiWorksLTD and Virtues Industries ended with the contract going to PiWorksLTD as two designs of the same project were submitted for approval. Initially, both groups were rejected but since Virtues Industries was under-engineered and PiWorks LTD was overengineered, all the latter had to do was remove features NOBODY FUCKING ASKED FOR GODDAMNIT to actually win the contract.
Testing will resume next week or whatever when the Oversight guy has the time, George.
DOMESTIC - PiWorks LTD and Karl McMarx becomes UTC Canon
PiWorks LTD has joined Kaiser Arsenal and Virtues Industries as “canonical” UTC companies. In addition, Karl McMarx has also been declared UTC canon to function as the equivalent of a Dennis Skinner who argues for more centralized UTC control.
The Patriot and Imperial political groups however remain as UTC “headcanon” only and are part of UTC Legends/Expanded Universe, totally disavowed by Disney.
