HEADLINES: CHRISTMAS / NEW YEAR'S PARTY IN EPHIRION

EPHIRION, CAVE SYSTEM - The UNKNOWN [?] Trading Company hosted a Christmas/New Year's Party at Ephirion in the Cave System, with a total amount of guests numbering about 30 or so players, however not everyone made it at the same time, nor could they join the SHITTY DISCORD 25 CHAT LIMIT oh and uh... A certain individual's failure of communicating land navigation. Someone was also even wrongfully banned just before, resonating Shotbow's moral and technical incompetence of the year 2020. They still joined the livestream regardless.

It was noted in this party that a lot of Citizens wanted to volunteer for security and guard detail but were turned down for fear of not enough time integrating them into a cohesive command structure and that supplies were already directed on selected Company Forces. Glad to know their patriotism still ran high.

The party actually started by a series of miscommunications that led to the deaths of a guest who thought the area was clear when messages were misinterpreted by them was actually supposed to be comms between Company Forces directing each other. The guest logged in unto three bandits and got attacked.

Company Forces in the area however were not authorized to login, and were forced to consult their commanding officer who was busy at the time escorting another guest. Valuable time was wasted trying to make sense of the situation but the guest died before action was taken and instead opted for coming back instead. This time Company Forces were ready to log in and scouted the area. Calling the party early by about 15 minutes, Company Forces secured Ephirion completely and set up defensive lines because of the presence of nearby bandits in order to pre-empt them. The bandits eventually logged off before any action took place.

Plenty of cake was used up around Ephirion's Christmas Tree and the party began. Many events were actually cut because the commanding officer began to drink and promptly forgot to give a speech concerning the international grand and global alliance concept as everything just devolved into merriment and chatter like a normal Christmas party with the drunken relative making racial commentaries on groups of people and individuals. I'm glad no one got a recording of my rant that could be used as blackmail. Heheh...

Also, I started showing off my clothes. Real good. You should buy it.

Once the cake had been consumed, the party eventually moved unto a depressing display of fireworks. After which, we began parading to the South where members of the 1st and 93rd regiment thought it would be funny to advertise our site to a bunch of passerbys by telling them it would save MineZ.

Another special mention. During that party, Irishkaiser discovered and was told of 'UTC legacy' clans... Basically clans that maintain a considerable amount of UTC heritage, systems and clan values.

Yes, I have a mixed race Great Great Granddaughter and we were re-united in that party. The old man was immediately elated at the thought of having discovered a person he finds most appealing to be actually related... EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE MISCHLINGS. They are of our blood... And therefore part of the GREATER UTC RACE. They may not be completely Regupean, that is for sure and we do not punish those who had nothing to do with anything that may have happened before. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Except for the fireworks. Fucking rock ceiling piece of shit.

EDITORIAL - What Really Matters　　

Irishkaiser - The Christmas/New Year's Party is a tradition that spanned since the first parties we had were held every year in MineZ. This year however, it really brought home what matters, as Christmas is supposed to.

During that party, I saw a people... A special kind of people. One united by a common culture, heritage and values - because of which we are able to do great things. No other clan has such a high amount of educated, well to do individuals of talents and skills. We are so far the only clan with an actual financial system, a large international network of professionals and expertise and merchandise. No other clan in this Godforsaken community has these. We have real, tangible benefits that members here held today. Whether it be a plane ticket, an introduction or even an article of clothing. Even when we had a load of fucking losers in many times of our history, the core members we had who maintained our values were always at the forefront of progress.

And it was during this party I saw why. Many people there had their priorities straight. We did not care for pixels or the adulations of false persons. Every single soldier on guard that day volunteered knowing that when a battle came, they were ready to put themselves in the shittiest situations for their friends. Victory came second, the happiness of everyone involved was paramount.

The party itself started to leave when an admin tried to make himself apparent - showing that the people did not actually care or give a shit about those who don't really matter such as the Shotbow staff. Even those who were wrongfully banned came out to enjoy the party anyway in defiance of Shotbow's moral and technical incompetence.

Putting it into perspective think about this: they work for Highlife for free... Hell, they PAY HIGHLIFE. Literally worse than slaves. They PAY THEIR EMPLOYER. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS HAS THEIR EMPLOYEES PAY THEIR EMPLOYER? DAMN.

During that party, an ex-Night's Watch player who had a falling out with his former group came to the party and wondered when we were gonna "Talk shit about Navarr", as if waiting for us to pounce on it with him being there. Our simple response was this: "We don't even think about him at all".

There, I saw a people who gets things done, who can provide the best with the greatest opportunities. The reason what makes us so great. We know our priorities and what to value. It resonates in our freedoms. The freedoms to let us innovate and pursue the things we love and our passions that has created some of the most innovative events and objects.

The rule of law here being very important as members cannot simply be shut down or abused by their leaders, allowing them to flourish in spite of the establishment and allowing us as a clan benefit from our own "rebels".

I saw in that party what a small dedicated army can do, compared to a large mass of unimaginative conscripts and it can multiply and be great. God bless the Empire and Commonwealth.
