HEADLINES: FIELD TESTING OF SPECIAL OPS LONE WOLF METHOD ACTUALLY HAPPENED
ASPERMONT, WESTERLANDS - A field test proposed by a Company Citizen for the benefit of the Company's field operations was finally tested after weeks of bureaucratic "Maybe Tomorrow" was finally done this week when the stars finally aligned.
The General Staff has found vital methods that it deemed were most suitable for lone niggas, but found that the more there are, the more muddled the method would be. Irishkaiser asked if anyone else knew about this not within the Company's sphere and connections, to which the Foreign Office suspects maybe one person but the knowledge is not widespread... Or so it's believed.
Their job is to inform me of only the important things that matter. Unfortunately for them, not a lot of premiums do matter.
EDITORIAL - Defeat is not Dishonor: the problem with Stackers.
Irishkaiser - One of the things I most despise in multiplayer gaming has always been "stacking" - the situation in which players always join the winning side just to consistently curbstomp another team. I am most disgusted by this act, not only because it doesn't make the game fun or fair, but rather that it is a deliberate choice on part of the players to not balance the team out. It especially frustrates me hard when they switch MID-GAME while the match is going on soon as they see an opening on the dominating team.
When I play and my team is visibly dominating, I tend to handicap myself by limiting my choices to the lower tier weapons and tend to experiment with new risk tactics for fun. Some people might see and follow me, beginning a chain reaction that ends with the previous firefight becoming Alien vs Predator in a modern warfare shooter.
That's how disgusted I am with stacking - where if I don't feel it worth switching teams due to other reasons - I deliberately reduce my combat effectiveness to help give the other team a chance. This way, I don't piss off my own team for not trying and give the curbstomped enemy entertainment or finally managed to land kills one me or something.
Still, that doesn't solve anything and of course, you could never control people's choices. That would be the wrong way going about it. And of course, let us not forget every time man attempts to control and disrupt the natural tendencies, it usually ends in failure like China's One Child Policy. I admit, up to now I have never found an applicable solution to this problem. Any artificial attempts that are involuntary is frustrating. Imagine you want to join a team because your friends or clan are there. Let's just say you were so good that you automatically got switched after winning a lot of rounds and now you are forced to fight against your former comrades for "fairness". That just sucks. Gaming Communism.
The best solutions I came up with were of course trying to encourage people and preach that stacking was wrong. I even made stuff to shame people such as putting many posters like this up in de_dust
It only worked if I was there as I noticed that nobody really cared if no one was actively promoting those ideals or they didn't speak English. So it still sucked.
I personally thought I was alone in this, until I started playing on more actively managed Filipino servers in certain games. It seems my countrymen share my sentiments as they formed an entire server community based on the idea of STOPPING STACKERS FROM RUINING THE GAME FOR EVERYONE. It is only a shame server hosting in this country is a bureaucratic mess, I never knew such treasured beliefs were quite prevalent close to home. Maybe it's a cultural thing?
All I know is, if I were to start a server, in terms of stacking I'd IP-range ban most of East Asia except maybe the Japanese and Taiwanese. Those guys don't seem to stack as often as the Mainland Chinese and South Koreans. Jesus fucking Christ, especially the former. Rest of SEA are fine but we've got our eyes on you, Malaysia. >->
Still, the root of stacking has and always will be the desire to win regardless. Who cares about honor or other such nonsense when you won and they didn't, right? In many ways, I would like to present the argument that they have effectively won what is literally "nothing" in return. But the fight between equals of comparable strength has better value for at least it was a true test of the strength, speed and intelligence between two opponents. This is why combat is only seen as glorious if there is a challenge for the fighters. There is no glory to be won when your opponents are so vastly understrength, it becomes a massacre.
Don't stack. Or I'll kill you.

FINANCE - COMPANY TRADE IRL? THE FUTURE OF OUR INDUSTRIES
The prospect of international trade is yadda yadda boring. Some of us are just buying from each other IRL, OK? What else you want? Yeah I can make it sound and look cool but I'm really busy with work right now. OK? I just wrote this long tirade about stacking because I really really hate stacking. It really disgusts and pains me to see when stacking happens.
1) Trade Mission Next Week but Special Orders High Priority. It is OK to abandon or ignore the Trade Mission for this.
