Irishkaiser - This recent trade run has exposed a very fatal infliction that we are constantly faced with every week. It’s symptoms are similar to the definition of battle fatigue, a precursor to PTSD, though not in the same intensity as experienced by actual soldiers who’ve experienced actual fighting, its prevalence in our clan is a mental health risk posed to its members.
The reason for which is, unlike most other clans whose events generally last about 1-2 hours tops, our events and missions can last from two-to-five hours. Two-to-five hours which may or may not contain frequent battles and or life or death situations such as finding food and constantly moving to get to one place, sometimes maybe under constant distress or pressure from foreign or unwanted elements such as premiums or refugees who want protection.
Not to mention our own players in their boredom who actually hurt our iron armor durability and those who don’t listen to orders the first time.
This pressure of battlefield stress can result in Battle Fatigue and is dangerous to our members' mental health which needs to be properly answered and remedied in order to ensure well-being within all the ranks.
The psychological damage shown in the link is nothing compared to what may be caused if the intensity is increased(which thankfully has not) such as headaches, insomnia, anxiety, irritability, dizziness.
The directory reports that it delivered about:
3 Chain Sets
4 Iron Swords
1 Diamond Sword
In value exchange for
24 Health Potions*
A trade run that was plagued with problems from the start that were being ignored or weren’t paid attention to until now. One of the main problems is the confusion of our chain production that has recently OVERPRODUCED chain resulting in three MERCHANT INVENTORIES to be able to transfer the chain and handicapping our battle inventories. This is the only trade run noted to have had 7 chain sets in one go. Though there were no restrictions or safety guidelines regarding chain sets in the first place - it was quite obvious that it was a danger that was ignored and akin to having a freighter carrying more cargo weight than it should have protection.
The newer members who sometimes have stayed with us for some weeks now still have yet to follow orders urgently and would sometimes resort to their basic instincts and reactions of when they’re playing MineZ before joining that would be contradictory to our experience and orders. The only time they learn is when they DIED and realized our orders were there for a reason. Even you, Alkey. You died when I told you to stay down and distract them but you went up or so I heard from reports. It was a clear and direct order.
Combine all this with decreasing amount of players lasting 4-5 hours of active service and to some players(European) late at night, and you’d get some pretty exhausted and fatigued group whose commitment to each other is the only thing keeping them from completely breaking apart.
That and our so called Scout support GunsOverdose suddenly went offline but we ignored that too. Big mistake since scouts are vital to how we operate.
The ones that affect us the worst however are MORAL situations. Whether to spare the life of a player(even premiums) because we lacked the evidence of hostility and yet are faced with the high possibility of betrayal we encounter everyday from the premiums. It really takes a toll on our heads to make such calls. It’s not as difficult when the trade run starts and everyone is fresh and everyone is experienced but when the hours roll by and you’ve had to fight the premiums from Portsmouth to Consilio to Ridgevale and then to Yawpton - you start to get exhausted and you forget basic protocol and guidelines and just give up.
It happened to us. Constant fighting for five hours have left us weary and tired. We let the premiums get too close and killed us… What’s worse is, we expected them to turn on us any moment but at the same time we still kept our guard down and we didn’t restore order with urgency.
The premiums and their white alts convinced us to not attack them but instead attack 3 bandits inside Grimdale Church preventing people from getting potions. We complied and actually killed them with Irishkaiser and Guy762(who mustered the courage to actually go in there and attacked) while the rest guarded outside. Order was still noticeable as the group moved us as one. It started to break down as soon as we were victorious. All three were dead… But cohesion started to break down. Our people started going inside Grimdale. NOBODY GAVE THE ORDER TO GO INSIDE GRIMDALE. THEY JUST WENT INSIDE - completely contradicting our military doctrine and causing order and cohesion to break down.
Irishkaiser gave the warning and advised everyone to leave Grimdale because he knew they were gonna turn on them anytime, however the problem was… His voice didn’t make it sound urgent - making it a very slow evacuation.
The premiums with their better computers and connections took the chance that maybe our boys were lagging inside Grimdale’s terrible lag spikes and Sahlgutmir was caught alone and killed nearly at the same time as Hotcock(who was somewhat AFK at the time of his murder lel). An extended small-medium sized battle took place and it turned out that some people who stayed neutral were actually on the premiums' sides and turned on us while we were regrouping battle lines and sparing them, letting them stand right next to us then they started attacking us. The extended battle left items changing hands a few amount of times before the premiums got the upper hand and logged.
However during the trade run Hotcock007 of the 93rd performed most commendably as a new member, though he let his guard down - he deserves to be gazetted. Guy762 was noted to improve as well. Also, Hotcock bought the diamond sword himself and then got killed with it while AFK, a minor blow to his 5K attempt. He stored most of his swords elsewhere.
All that shit accomplished was us killing and regearing each other for 1 hour. Revert to old tactics.
Gay pride parade.
