Among Us
Rating: 1.8/5
Review: Just plain not a good game. All of the tasks are chores, the roles don't add very much, the numbers for the game are broken too, it requires at least 6 players to be a good game, ideally 7 or more.
At this point... just play TTT, Town of Salem, Werewolf or other social deception games.

DARK SOULS: REMASTERED
Rating 4.7/5
Review: An excellent game. The 2nd half after Ornstein and Smough drops off in quality. I really appreciate how you can do both halves in almost any order. Mandatory damage before a boss fight is shit(Gravelord Nito), and the Bonfire runs are shit too(Ornstein and Smough, Gravelord Nito, Bed of Chaos, Seath the Scaleless, Four Kings). Aside from the quality drop and the bonfire runs issue, this game is in my opinion very tightly made and well crafted. Another issue the game has, is tedious achievements involving crafting and basically playing through the game all the way to NG++ at least, and NG+++ if you mess up in your first run, which can easily add 10-20 hours to a playthrough, and in my opinion, this isn't anywhere near as fun as the first playthrough.
What I would hope from a remaster though, is if they picked up the pieces and increased the quality of the second half of the game.
Completed: Yes, including all DLC.
Delver
Rating: 4.3/5
Review: A very fun simplistic dungeon crawler. It does things simply much to its benefit, and it feels vaguely kings field-like or something like that. It also has modding, so I play it heavily modded. One of the better mods is the little delver mod that fixes the pacing of the game turning it from a 2 hour game with 8 floors to about a 1 hour game with 4 floors. The 4 missing floors are just the same themes, so it ends up being a better experience overall in my opinion.
Don't Starve
Rating: 4.2/5
Review: Once you get a year into the game, the game starts to get a little bit boring and starts being something you're going through the motions with. In your first playthroughs it's a bit rough, but later ones start getting easier as you learn how to play the game and what to prioritise.
Don't Starve Together
Rating: 4.0/5
Review: Just like Don't Starve, once you pass a year in this game, the game starts to get tedious and a little bit boring. It has an extra plus in the fact that it's multiplayer so that is fun, but the default world settings are way too big for just regular gameplay with friends, and in my opinion, all the extra stuff they've added over the years makes the game feel a bit bloated, especially with the character reworks.
Additionally, the way they rebalanced fights for multiplayer is just by making everything have more HP, which is in my opinion not that fun as it just means you need to come even more prepared than normal. The UI is also cluttered compared to the first game, which I don't like.

ELDEN RING
Rating: 4.9/5
Review: Excellent Fromsoft game. Should be played with a controller. Will consume at least a month of your life the first time you play it. I feel it was a bit bloated with content, and because of that, is a bit intimidating for a new player.
=> I wrote a full review on my blogCompleted: Yes, excluding all DLC
ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN
Rating: 3.9/5
Review: Excellent multiplayer Fromsoft game. If you have a bad internet connection, you have a cruelly short amount of time before you time out of the game, which has made playing it with friends difficult. Its biggest issue is the maps get stale, as every game you play in Limveld which is basically Limgrave from ELDEN RING. It would seriously benefit from more map styles.
The gameplay of Nightreign is basically Risk of Rain with Fortnite's ring system to make time a resource you manage and with Fromsoft's signature soulslike combat.

Ratung: 4.7/5
Review: A game that is like crack. If you remember the old Tekkit modpacks, you already know how this game goes. I find it to be a lot of fun, and as far as I know it's one of the first of its kind. The one issue I have with the game, is that at times, it can be a bit of a slog... Especially when you refactor parts of your base. Any pre-bot refactors are the worst to do.
FlyKnight
Rating: 3.8/5
Review: A surprising little King's Field-like first person dungeon crawler with multiplayer. The game lasts only 3-4 hours sadly, but it shows a lot of the promise in multiplayer dungeon crawlers. The dungeons in it remind me somewhat of legacy dungeons in Elden Ring a bit.
The aesthetics are pretty clearly Runescape inspired. I'm indifferent to the aesthetic, but I can see it being a selling point for some people. The only fault with it... is it's too short...
HELLDIVERS
Rating: 4.1/5
Review: A fun multiplayer cooperative game, has the same strategem cooldown system as Helldivers 2, though it encourages teamplay as it's a top down shooter with multiple teammates and you all share the same screen. Without synergy and cooperation, it is a nightmare. I find it to be a hell of a lot of fun. It's not super comparable to Helldivers 2, as it is much more of an arcade-like experience.
HELLDIVERS 2
Rating: 4/5
Review: A fun multiplayer cooperative game. The strategem calldown system is a fun way to have the awesome dopamine feeling of killstreaks in call of duty, without them being broken and OP. I also appreciate the fun mixture of hardcore and casual elements that make it a fun game, and the fact that despite it having microtransaction elements, they're not rubbed in your face as if you need to. There is (almost with a few very very minor exceptions) nothing you can't get through playing the game a bunch.

Lunacid
Rating: 4.4/5
Review: Awesome king's field-like game, that is just a chill adventure game that is very much in the style of both King's Field as well as Castlevania Symphony of the Night. It does have a few tedious achievements like collecting all weapons, but it was a fairly fun game in spite of the few niggling bits of tedium in it. Some of the endings I don't see how a person was supposed to discover them, but oh well.
Minecraft
Rating 3.5/5
Review: I give this a low rating, despite putting many hours into it. The fundamental survival gameplay leaves a lot to be desired, and the majority of my hours are in multiplayer servers. The survival gameplay is replayable, but it's too short lived and easy to "win" at.
Completed: Yes?
Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite
Rating: 4.3/5
Review: The issue with this game is jank hitboxes and some enemy repetition. Aside from that, it's quite a lot of fun, especially for a PSP/PS Vita game. I certainly prefer how the combat is a lot simpler than the combat in newer mainline Monster Hunter games with the lack of Hunter Arts and other stuff. It also really makes the game feel like a proper hunt, while later ones, the hunting part has gone off to the wayside. Map knowledge is also well rewarded in this game, though the modern games don't reward it as well.
Monster Hunter: World
Rating: 4.0/5
Review: Still a good Monster Hunter game, though it's not optimised. It required a PC upgrade for me to play it reasonably. It marked the beginning of Capcom making poorly optimised PC Monster Hunter games. Aside from the optimisation issues, I also felt the hunting part and the map knowledge is lacking, and the quality of life features remove a fair amount of the satisfaction you'd get from a good hunt in the early games.
Monster Hunter: Rise
Rating: 4.1/5
Review: This game has better movement and generally feels a lot better to play. Aesthetically the game reminds me of earlier Monster Hunter games too. It does lack in feel ng like you track down the Monster but map knowledge is rewarded in this game. It suffers the most form a small Monster Roster, so the base game is pretty short in comparison to FU or World.
Still... I enjoyed it a fair bit more than World.
NERTS! Online
Rating: 3.6/5
Review: A multiplayer solitaire game that is lightning fast and a lot of fun, but often ends up sort of stalemating and going back and forth, that said, as a time waster it's a lot of fun as everyone starts to lose it a bit when they play it. It's also free so why not check it out?
PEAK
Rating: 3.8/5
Review: Fun game to play with friends. An end objective really helps this game, and in my opinion, the way the health and stamina mechanic works and ties into the gameplay is very unique. It is not really that rage inducing, and it can get pretty challenging. Challenging in a puzzle solving sort of way just like actual rock climbing. As someone who has done rock climbing before, I enjoyed it quite a bit!
R.E.P.O.
Rating: 2.9/5
Review: A game from the "friendslop" genre. The whole point is its a physics based game about picking up items putting it in a crate and extracting it without breaking it. I'm personally not a big fan as everything in the game feels incredibly sluggish and slow, like wading in mud. It does have interesting enemies, but once they kill you, it feels like waiting 5-10 minutes to get back into the next round as there's no 'hurry up'-like mechanics the same way Lethal Company has with its day-night cycle.
With friends, it's an OK and somewhat fun game. With mods, it becomes more interesting. On its own, I didn't find it too fun...
STRAFTAT
Rating: 2.8/5
Review: A fun little time waster, solid game but not something I'd keep coming back to. It sparks the old childlike feeling of playing a game of Call of Duty with a friend in a 1v1 with various class setups. A bit of fun to play especially if you're waiting for people for another game.
Team Fortress 2
Rating: 3/5
Review: To me, the only redeeming factor about this game is that you aren't punished as much for playing a character you want to play, while other team based shooters, it ends up pretty toxic if you don't play a class they want you to. That said, I mostly play this to just relax, hang out with a friend or 2 and go on some casual TF2 community servers.

The Zachtronics Solitaire Collection
Rating: 4/5
Review: It's solitaire. I spend most of my time playing Fortune's Foundation in it, but the other solitaire modes such as Cribbage are a lot of fun to play. I think it's worth the money if you already found Solitaire to be a fun game to play.

Vintage Story
Rating 4.7/5
Review: If you remember the Terrafirmacraft mod for Minecraft, then you already know most of what this game has to offer. It's a Minecraft like game where it takes place in the stone age and you have to knap rocks to make tools, do pottery and fire up the pots and crocks you make and then go hunting for a good vein of ore to bring home and smelt down into your first set of tools.
One of the greatest things about it is the chiselling system. It is basically "micro blocks" that let you make some very detailed things. it is an astonishingly brilliant system that gives so so much to the creative types. Engineering types are left out a bit though as, while there is rudimentary mechanical system featuring clutches and wind power... it's quite lacking and there's not loads to do with it.
It also has the single smoothest mod system I have ever seen. It has one click installs straight off its mod database, and when you join a multiplayer server, it automatically fetches the mods you need to play on it. The mods are also absolutely stellar.
The only downfall of this game is also part of its nature. Some bits and pieces in the game are a bit tedious.
