Iron Lung #

Not a terrible first movie for Markiplier's directorial debut, but compared to movies I like it's not exceptional. Compared to modern Disney slop, it may as well be fresh and exciting.

I thought the aesthetic was fantastic. I thought the plot choices were interesting. I thought the movie dragged on for too long... At least half an hour too long- which I wanted to briefly comment on. Not every film needs to be a 3 hour megafilm. Nor even a 2 hour film. 1 hour and 1 and a half hour films are fine too, maybe even preferable sometimes as they allow a film to be concise and focused, or to cover everything exactly as long as it should be.

Finally, I thought the dialogue was honestly kind of rubbish. What really saves this film is the world building and aesthetic, though half(not all!) of the merit for that comes from David Szymanski's game, Iron Lung.

I will also say that as far as movie adaptations of games go... This is one of the better ones!
