So this is where that weird laughing gif comes from! Anyways, this movie has some decent practical effects for the time, and the costume design is also very good for the time too. The plot is quite strange and a little bit whimsical and silly at times. It is an entertaining and solid movie... but you can clearly see it is a movie so suspension of disbelief is required going into it, which meant it was a bit tricky to be immersed in it to begin with. I also do not think the ending will stick with me for a long time, though the twist at the end was certainly something that caught me off guard, despite making complete sense and adding up with something I was a bit confused about early on in the movie.
